I was selected to lead this project team in response for a requirement for a clear and transparent reporting system. This software was developed to ensure a clear line of sight between projects programmes and system change. Quarterly reports are fed into an Infopath tool, quality assured, then aggregated to show risks, issues and sector level performance. I conducted the user needs analysis with internal and external stakeholders, led the design team and project managed the development of the performance dashboard.
Working closely with our Director and Executive Director I co-ordinated the stakeholder engagement process with partners to develop a jointly owned sector specific implementation plan. I managed the development and production of the plan with responsibility for assuring the negotiation of responsibilities, the production process and final editorial. This implementation plan outlines the strategic ambitions for technology in the children, schools and families sector. The plan supports national priorities including improving achievement and narrowing attainment gaps, engaging disadvantaged and vulnerable children and young people and developing the capacity, quality and efficiency of provision.
This compilation of video material was developed to support a high level policy group who required clear views from learners of their requirements for e-learning. It features the thoughts, issues and ambitions of people who use new technology to support their learning. Each clip is accompanied by contextual information. I ensured the requirements of our policy team was met by the projects deliverables, procured the video assets and the graphic design and managed the product development.
Working closely with Professor Richard Winter, we developed, piloted and implemented a model enabling students to develop and share short fictional stories that explore aspects of professional experience.
This process is supported, as the students are working at a distance, through synchronous audio conferencing. A Student Guide and a Tutor Guide prepare participants for their first session, detail the structure of each session and provide guidance for the creative writing that forms part of the student assignment.
The Exchanging Stories module was developed while I worked for the Open University and succeeded in linking students geographically seperated at a minimun cost.
